CALL FOR PAPERS THE ANCIENT KINGDOM OF NAVARRE DURING THE MIDDLE AGES Organised Session IV INTERNATIONAL MEDIEVAL CONGRESS 14-17 July 1997 International Medieval Institute University of Leeds U.K. As chair of a provisional organised session at the upcoming International Medieval Congress 1997 to be held in Leeds (U.K.) next July, I would like to invite papers on any subject about the ancient kingdom of Navarre during the Middle Ages, with particular emphasis on history, historiography, literature, demography, political thought, art, onomastics, toponomy, economics and social history. All abstracts (100 words or less) must include the following information: title of paper; name of author; complete mailing address (home & office), including e-mail, telephone and fax if available; institutional affiliation, if any, of the author; language of delivery; and statement of need (or no need) for audio-visual equipment. Speakers are welcome to present their contributions in any language, although it is recommended that individual papers are presented either in English, French or German to ensure that the session remain broadly accesible.
